A little interactive heatmap I made after helping with a small statistical programming site (now defunct). Click to toggle degree of randomness. Should give you 5-10 seconds of pleasure. If you like it, feel free to check out my website at [link].

overabundance causes confusion of time versus necessity.hurry, only 6 seconds to go.repeat as necessary.

Thanks! I prefer javascript (on Firefox) as a medium, though... so much more like OpenGL and I find it easier to use and that I can do more in it... but deviantART don't allow javascript for security reasons.

Damn DeviantArt haha

How... do.... what? I made it in Flash, using actionscript, whole buncha linetos and movetos, array of around 256 elements... each element stores a single value that is then translated into a colour. The value is modified every frame by adding some function (mathematically speaking) of the distance from the cursor. Elementary, my dear Watson!
